This is more than a show – it’s an interactive experience. You will be able to ask Manolo questions, learn how colors are added to glass designs, and buy glass art from local artists including Chris Schuelke and Manuel Castro.

Manolo Aguilera, originally from Veracruz, Mexico, is a glassblower and a highly sought-after artist living and working in the Pacific Northwest. Aguilera focuses on creating works of art that honor his Mexican heritage, including Masks of ancient civil leaders and Cactus as cultural symbols. Aguilera joined the Chihuly glassblowing team in 2004 and became a proud citizen of USA in 2017. He has spent years assisting trailblazing artists such as Dale Chihuly, James Mongrain, Pino Signoretto, Paul DeSomma, Preston Singletary, Joey Kirkpatrick & Flora C. Mace, Dan Friday, and Jason Christian. Aguilera has held prestigious artist residencies at the Museum of Glass, Tacoma, WA, Hilltop Artists, Tacoma, WA, USA, and Barrio Glassworks, Carlsbad, CA, USA.
In addition to being an artist, he is passionate about teaching salsa dancing and maintaining his own glassblowing studio that he finished building in 2023.
